The CNBV through the General Bureau for Access to Finance as part of Regulatory Policy Vice-Presidency, lead various efforts to foster a stable financial system, which in turns is more inclusive, achieving greater penetration of best financial products and services used by all the population.
Some of the main activities carried out on financial inclusion are the following:
- To measure and to generate statistics about financial products and services that exist at national level in order to identify the progress degree regarding to access and usage of forma financial system.
- To develop studies and analyze, both at national and international level, in order to maintain informed and updated the general public about financial inclusion issues.
- To analyze the regulation to identify potential opportunity areas for improvement for a greater access to financial services.
- To participate in several forums and into national and international working groups, where many financial inclusion topics are discussed to exchange experiences and knowledge.
- To act as Executive Secretary of National Council for Financial Inclusion.
